This is a reminder that the due date for Rental Registration Forms is quickly approaching. The forms are due by April 20th, 2020. While there is no charge for filing the form, failure to file will result in penalties being assessed.

City Offices Closed

The City Offices will be closed on Monday January 20, 2020 in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday. Business will resume on Tuesday January 21, 2020 at 7:25 a.m. Sanitation pick up for Monday will be picked up on Tuesday January 21, 2020 along with the normal Tuesday route. Monday’s pick up will be the only one affected.

The City offices will close at 11:15 am on Tuesday December 24th thru December 25th 2019. Normal business hours will resume on December 26th. Sanitation pick up for Wednesday December 25th will be picked up on Thursday December 27th along with all the normal Thursday pick ups. Wednesday will be the only day trash is affected. The City offices will also be closed December 31st at 10:45 am thru January 1st 2020. Normal business hours will resume on January 2nd 2020. Sanitation pick up for Wednesday January 1st will be picked up on Thursday January 2nd along with all the normal Thursday pick ups. Wednesday will be the only day trash is affected. OFFICES CLOSED NOVEMBER 28-29TH

The City of Martins Ferry Offices will be closed Thursday November 28th and Friday November 29th. The sanitation for Thursday November 28 and Friday November 29th will be picked up on Wednesday November 27th. Please have your trash out the night before in the event they run out of time it will resume where left off on Monday December 2, 2019. Thank you in advance for your patience. Also a reminder the Winterfest is this weekend on Friday November 29th from 2-10pm with a parade at 6:30pm and Saturday November 30th from 10am – 2pm, this event will cause some road closures around the activities which are centered around Hanover, Fourth and Fifth streets. The City Offices will be closed Monday November 11, 2019 for Veterans Day.  The sanitation for Monday November 11, 2019 will be picked up on Tuesday November 12, 2019 along with the normal Tuesday route.  The only day that sanitation is affected is Monday.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.  Thank you to all the men and women who have served our country in the past and who continue to serve today!


TRICK-OR TREAT

TRICK-OR-TREAT UPDATE:
Due to the safety concerns of the children with the high winds and thunderstorms coming to the area on Thursday Trick-or-Treating will be rescheduled for Saturday November 2, 2019 from 6pm-7pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but again we are just looking out for the children.


HYDRANT FLUSHING

The Water Department will be flushing the Fire Hydrants Starting Sunday October 20th thru Friday October 25th from the 6pm-2am.


48 HOUR BOIL ORDER

Due to a recent water break there is currently a 48 hour boil order for everything South of Madison Street. Boil order ends at 12:41 pm on Friday August 30th 2019. Closed for Labor Day!

The City Offices will be closed Monday September 2, 2019 for Labor Day. Sanitation pickup for Monday will be picked up on Tuesday September 3, 2019 along with Tuesdays sanitation. Mondays sanitation pickup is the only day the service will be affected. Have a safe and happy holiday weekend!


Offices Closed

The Utility Office and City Auditor’s office will be opened on September 10th only until 11am and will remain closed through September 13th for training. The offices will reopen on Monday September 16th. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. During this time Utility payments can still be made using the two drop boxes at the City building or the online payment center located in the Utility page on the City’s Website.
