Starting on Monday October 13, 2025, Beretta Road project will begin, road construction will run from 7:ooam until 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, and this may cause short term traffic delays. Delays will be short and will continue until project is complete.

The next regular meeting of the Martins Ferry City Council will be held on Wednesday September 3rd at 4:30 PM in Council chambers. Please note that the Summer schedule for Council has ended, and the meetings now will return to the First and third Wednesdays of each month at 4:30 PM.

On August 16th, at approximately 7:30pm the City of Martins Ferry will be shutting down the water plant to install/repair a new valve. Once water is restored there will be a mandatory 48 hour boil order. Any additional information you can contact the water plant at 740-973-0763

Effective August 1, 2025 there is a boil order for the area of Creek Road in the Glenhurst section of City of Martins Ferry water district. The boil order is in effect until Sunday August 3, 2025 until approximately 11:00am. For further information contact the water plant at 740-973-0763

The Public Hearing for the 2026 Budget for the City of Martins Ferry will be held on Wednesday July 16, 2025 at 4:00 PM in Council Chambers in the City Building, followed by the Regular meeting of the City Council at 4:30 PM.

TODAY, SUNDAY JUNE 15th, 11 am-4 pm : The City of Martins Ferry is accepting donations of paper products to be delivered today to assist our neighbors in the Wheeling area who have been severely impacted by this weekend’s flooding.
Donations are being accepted of:
toilet paper
vinyl gloves
paper towels
tissues
cleaning wipes
baby wipes
diapers
cleaning solutions.
Donations can be dropped off at the Martins Ferry Recreation Center until 4pm, when they will be delivered to Wheeling Officials.

There will be a Special Meeting of the Martins Ferry City Council on Tuesday May 27th at 10 am in Council Chambers to consider the AFSCME contract and any miscellaneous business.
